Jared began his path to sports training at Excelsior Springs High School where he was a multi-sport All-State athlete. It was then that he realized that he wanted to someday help young athletes enjoy some of the success that he had experienced over the years. Jared went on to compete collegiately in 3 sports and afterwards played
Arena Football. At the conclusion of his football career he decided to focus on others' physical fitness goals. Jared holds 3 certifications through the American Council on Exercise (Certified Medical Exercise Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer and Youth Fitness Specialist) and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. Greg Carbin BS, CSCS, USAW
NFL Strength Coach
Currently an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Kansas City Chiefs, Greg Carbin helped found Flash Performance in 2010. He works with athletes in every sport but has an incredible ability to help athletes develop their strength and speed.
After a great football and track career at Jefferson City High School Greg went on to star at Missouri Western. He attended several professional tryouts after college and was eventually signed by AFL’s Kansas City Brigade thanks to an impressive 4.34 40 yd time. Greg then decided to take his knowledge to North Kansas City High School where he was an assistant varsity football and track coach.
Coaching in high school gave him the opportunity to combine two of his passions, football and training our youth. Greg has been focused on sports specific training for several years now and he has helped mold a multitude of young athletes. He served as the first ever Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Missouri Western State University for 5 years, designing and administering workouts to all 10 of their athletic programs. He has quickly become one of the brightest young minds in the sports performance industry. Greg's wife Marian is the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Mo West.
Olivia Hackmann, BS
Currently playing professional basketball in Australia, Olivia joined the Flash team in 2018.
An incredible athlete in her own right, Olivia was the Missouri state basketball player of the year her senior year in high school and played division I basketball in college. After her 1,000 points plus career in college she took on a strength and conditioning role working with collegiate teams helping to administer their offseason workouts.
Olivia brings some great experience and incredible work ethic to the Flash Performance team. Anyone who knows anything about collegiate sports, especially division 1 programs, knows that the role of a student athlete is not easy. The "job" of an athlete is not for the weak and to excel in such a role is nothing short of amazing.
Olivia works with all of our athletes and specializes in basketball skills training as well as strength and conditioning for volleyball and basketball. She is also one of our experts in strength, power-explosion, quickness, and speed.
